About the role
Matrix Consulting Engineers is seeking an Associate Technician to help lead our growing technical delivery teams within a BSI ISO 19650-certified environment. In this hybrid role, you will work as both a civil and structural technician, supporting a wide spectrum of engineering design and digital production.

You’ll take a central role in shaping and improving workflows across Revit, Civil 3D, and point-cloud scanning, ensuring our modelling, coordination, and information management processes remain industry-leading.
You’ll contribute to a huge variety of projects, including substations, data centres, major infrastructure, complex structures, commercial buildings, temporary works, bridges, and much more. This diversity gives you the opportunity to exercise and expand your technical capability across some of the most interesting and challenging schemes in the sector.
- Leading technical assurance and mentoring across the business
- Managing the drawing production process across multiple projects
- Supporting and upholding the firm’s ISO 9001 and ISO 19650 systems
- Representing Matrix in external stakeholder meetings, regulatory discussions, and industry forums
- Managing risk and internal compliance procedures
- Ensuring the commercial viability and profitability of the projects you oversee
- Building and maintaining client relationships to secure repeat and new business
- Collaborating with directors to help shape the strategic direction of the practice
