As an Associate Director in Power Systems, you'll be at the forefront of designing and delivering resilient electrical networks for some of the most complex and high-profile data centre and mission-critical projects across the globe. From hyperscale campuses and colocation facilities to advanced technology and critical infrastructure environments, your expertise will help ensure the continuous operation of the systems that businesses, governments, and communities depend on every day.

This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional engineering consultancy roles and become a recognised leader within one of the industry's fastest-growing sectors. You'll influence major project decisions from concept through to delivery, collaborate with globally respected engineers and clients, and help shape the future of power systems strategy, design standards, and technical excellence.

If you're motivated by solving complex engineering challenges, leading high-performing teams, and making a lasting impact on critical infrastructure projects, this role offers the scale, visibility, and career progression to take your professional journey to the next level.

  • Strategic Leadership & Influence – Take a leading role in defining the direction of Power Systems engineering within a growing international consultancy. Your expertise will influence technical standards, project methodologies, and engineering excellence across multiple regions.
  • Complex Engineering Challenges – Work on some of the most demanding and technically sophisticated power infrastructure projects in the industry, including large-scale data centres, critical facilities, and high-capacity electrical networks.
  • Client Engagement & Business Growth – Build lasting relationships with key clients while contributing to business development initiatives, helping expand the Power Systems offering across existing and emerging markets.
  • Career Advancement – Gain visibility across the global organisation and develop your leadership capabilities as you help grow a specialist engineering function with significant future expansion opportunities.
  • Technical Excellence & Innovation – Drive innovation in power system analysis, network design, resilience strategies, and sustainability initiatives while collaborating with industry-leading subject matter experts.
  • Technical Leadership on Landmark Projects – Take ownership of complex substation and power infrastructure projects as the technical lead, guiding projects from concept through to delivery. You'll coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage technical risk, and ensure successful outcomes across programme, budget, and quality objectives while contributing to some of the world's most advanced data centre and mission-critical developments.
  • Business Growth & Client Engagement – Play a key role in shaping future opportunities by leading proposal development and bid management activities. You'll work closely with clients to define innovative technical solutions, prepare winning fee proposals, support tender submissions, and contribute to the continued growth of Black & White Engineering's Power Systems capability.
  • Developing Future Engineering Leaders – Expand your impact beyond project delivery by coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers across the business. Through technical guidance, design reviews, training, and career development support, you'll help build the next generation of Power Systems specialists while strengthening the team's long-term capability and succession planning.
  • Values-Driven Culture – Join a business that values Accountability, Integrity, Simplicity, and Supportiveness while encouraging collaboration and professional growth at every stage of your career.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
