IFA Manager / Adviser position in Borehamwood
We are working with a highly respected, national wealth management business to recruit an experienced IFA Manager / Adviser to join their Financial Planning team in Borehamwood.
This is a senior leadership role within a structured “pod” model, responsible for managing a team of Financial Planners and trainees, whilst also looking after clients yourself (you will inherit clients).
75% client-facing financial planning & 25% team leadership and management

Conduct regular 1:1s, appraisals and performance reviews

Observe client meetings to ensure consistent high-quality advice delivery
Adviser Development & Mentoring
Coach and mentor Financial Planners and trainees
Support technical development and career progression within the team
Drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
Business Growth & Client Strategy
Manage prospect pipelines and contribute to growth initiatives
Work closely with operational and paraplanning support teams to ensure smooth client delivery
Client Advisory
Maintain a personal client book
Deliver complex, holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments, protection and legacy planning
The Ideal Candidate Will
Experienced as a Financial Planner (typically 5+ years) Ideally be Chartered or close to Chartered status Be confident working with high-net-worth and complex clients Have strong technical knowledge across holistic financial planning Be comfortable leading, coaching and holding advisers to high standards Demonstrate strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
