Print Field Service Engineer

Express Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established Business Service Provider, who promote an environment of individual growth and progression. They are looking for a Print Field Service Engineer to join their team of professionals in Gloucester.

The successful candidate will manage clients on a day-to-day basis, visit clients on site to deliver exceptional IT support, mainly the installation, commissioning, configuration, and repair of a wide range of printers and associated IT hardware equipment. Due to the position's travel requirements, which is regionally across Gloucester and surrounding areas, a full, clean UK driving license is essential to apply for the role.

Salary Up to c£32,000 per annum D.O.E + £450 monthly car allowance

Job Type and Hours Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, service, and repair a wide range of printers, including brands such as HP, Lexmark, Canon, and Sharp
  • Strip down/rebuild printer machines and replace broken and obsolete parts
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with clients including updating them regularly
  • Visit and support customers around Gloucester and surrounding areas
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer escalations regarding printers, scanners, and photocopiers
  • Address complex printer issues in line with contractual requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in commissioning and configuring a wide range of printers
  • Demonstrable experience working with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, printer servers, and drive deployments
  • Competent user of print management software preferred but not essential
  • Experience connecting and configuring routers, firewalls, and switches
  • Have a polite and professional manner whilst always putting the customer first
  • Experience solving complex hardware and software issues from diagnosis to completion
  • Possess a full, clean UK driving license
