Connecting Lives: About the Role

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic and confident Prison Employment Advisor to support the CFO Evolution contract across the North-West region. This role focuses on working with offenders in custody and through transitional "Through the Gate" programmes, empowering them to achieve their resettlement goals through employment, training, and learning opportunities.

The job involves delivering one-to-one or group work with individuals—whether on remand, serving custodial sentences, or under community supervision by the National Probation Service. Your focus will be on engagement, progression, and reintegration, helping participants take meaningful steps toward rebuilding their lives.

This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to drive meaningful change, support vulnerable communities, and contribute to positive pathways for those navigating challenging circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with offenders (based on remand, sentence status, or probation) to explore, develop, and access employment, training, and education opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain individualised action plans, tracking progress towards rehabilitation and resettlement targets.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal and external organisations (e.g., Jobcentres, local training providers, employers) to secure tailored support for participants.
  • Utilise computerised databases to input, track, and report work accurately and efficiently, ensuring rigorous attention to detail.
  • Participate in training and compliance activities to meet contract standards, safeguarding, and equality guidelines.
  • Attend team meetings, case reviews, and informal discussions to share progress, challenges, and emerging best practices.
  • Work collaboratively within the wider team to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Represent the role effectively in prison and community settings, promoting trust and rapport within participant groups.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
