About the Role
Prison officers at HMP Full Sutton play a critical role in ensuring public safety while helping offenders rehabilitate. With every day bringing new challenges, your skills will be constantly tested, keeping the environment secure, positive, and focused on change.
Compensation:
- £33,746 - £38,003 per annum
What You’ll Do
- Protect the public, offenders, and staff through vigilant monitoring and active intervention.
- Foster constructive, professional relationships with offenders, often at their lowest points in life.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment where teamwork, commitment, and adaptability are essential.
- Perform varied tasks daily—switching between roles as a peacekeeper, counsellor, or teacher.
- Contribute to rehabilitation efforts, aligning with the prison service’s focus on public safety and rehabilitation.
