HMP Grendon/Springhill

£29,432 per annum

About the Role

His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service is offering this unique Operational Support Grade (OSG) role at HMP Grendon/Springhill.

An extraordinary job, done by someone like you.

As an Operational Support Grade, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the day-to-day operations of a busy prison. Your duties will vary and include:

  • Supporting security and search operations at the entrance
  • Managing deliveries within the prison
  • Supervising visitors
  • Monitoring phone calls and CCTV
  • Conducting escort duties across prison grounds

This role integrates both administrative tasks and physical responsibilities, such as:

  • Lifting and carrying equipment
  • Driving escort vehicles (a full, valid UK driving licence is required)

Daily work will include weekend and night shifts, ensuring continuous oversight of operations.
