Privacy Administrator – Secondment/FTC
We are looking for a Privacy Administrator to join our Data Protection team at Southern Housing on a Secondment/Full-Time Contract (FTC) basis until 5th March 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to:

Reporting to the Data Protection Manager, this role involves providing clerical and administrative support to the team, handling tasks ranging from routine to moderately complex, ensuring the smooth operation of the unit. You’ll work collaboratively with the other Privacy Administrator and the Privacy Administration Lead to support day-to-day operations.
Working Arrangement
- Potential locations: Farringdon, Sittingbourne, or Croydon
- Working model: Hybrid (agreed with line manager)

About the Role
The Privacy Administrator will assist the Data Protection Team with:
- Processing and organising Data Protection-related documentation
- Maintaining internal and external records in compliance with GDPR
- Supporting the response team for Data Subject Requests (DSRs) and privacy questions
- Assisting the team with administrative processes, such as monitoring compliance deadlines and managing follow-ups
What You’ll Need
Essential
- Basic understanding of UK GDPR regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good self-management and organisation of workloads
- Experience of managing tight deadlines (especially those tied to legislative requirements)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Desirable
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Customer Dynamics, and/or OneTrust
- Familiarity with Data Protection reporting tools
