We're seeking someone to join our team as a Privacy Compliance Director in the Data Governance & AI Non-Financial Risk team, reporting to the International Data Protection officer. You will focus on assisting with the management of the privacy program, including privacy risk assessments, control monitoring, training, assisting with policies and procedures, and governance activities for key meetings.
In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is a Director level position within the Privacy Compliance team who support all Business Lines and Functions across Morgan Stanley and promote fair, transparent, and lawful practices related to the processing of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

What You'll Do In The Role
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) related to various technologies and systems
- Check adherence to compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks
- Assist with DPO metrics and reporting
- Provide advice and guidance for Privacy Business Unit/Regional Control Functional Leads
- Assist with the implementation of applicable international Privacy regulations, state and federal laws, and industry standard procedures and controls to the applicable business units via conducting gap analysis and implementation of controls

What You'll Bring To The Role
- Understanding of Privacy Compliance laws (GDPR, CCPA, Reg P, GLBA/FCRA among others), rules, regulations, risks, and appropriate controls
- Experience with privacy related technology considerations such as cookies, mobile devices, biometric and geolocation data is desired
- Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams/individuals at all levels
- Demonstrated organizational skills, proactive work ethic and team player mindset
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
Typically, 5+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
