We are expanding our Bristol team and have a rare opportunity to hire two additional Private Bankers, or aspiring professionals ready to step into the role, within our prestigious city-centre office.
In this role, the successful candidate will use their knowledge, experience and networks to help build and support a Private Banking service tailored to the unique needs of High Net Worth (HNW) clients.
You will develop and strengthen relationships with a diverse portfolio of HNW clients, creating long-term, strategic partnerships founded on a collaborative and client-centric approach. Acting as an ambassador for the Bank, you will represent us both externally and internally, demonstrating professionalism, insight and a commitment to exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Managing performance to meet business targets and ensure unwavering commitment to service excellence
- Developing a relationship as your Clients’ strategic partner in the bank and acting as a gateway to our products and services
- Managing a criteria client portfolio (including the management of a loan book) with particular focus on its impact on the P&L and the Balance Sheet
- Develop and present business cases that match appropriate financial products to our Client’s needs
- Take primary responsibility for management of clients within your portfolio
Client Acquisition
- Managing your network of personal and business relationships to acquire, develop and service Clients
Risk
- Take overall responsibility for your risk and regulatory performance
- Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures

Person Specification
Knowledge / Experience/Skills
- You will have broad experience across the financial services industry and good knowledge of the Private Banking market
- Private Banking experience (dealing with HNW individuals)
- Ability to identify and close cross sale opportunities within your portfolio
- Proven track record of delivery
- Exceptional Relationship Skills
- Effective management of risk controls and adherence to regulatory requirements
Skills
- Excellent Interpersonal skills (Networking, Negotiation, Presentation, Influencing)
- Excellent Business Development skills
- Excellent Business Case writing skills
Qualifications
- Relevant Banking, Financial Planning and/ or Investment Management Qualifications
- Level 4 qualified including CeMAP expectation.
- Competence with Microsoft Office
