The Opportunity

As a Private Banking Manager in our Luton branch, you’ll oversee the growth and nurturing of a portfolio of premium clients, expanding profitable business through tailored service delivery.

  • Target audience: Professionals, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Key focus areas: Wealth management, mortgage lending, deposit growth, and relationship stewardship.
  • Proactive outreach: Drive acquisition through referrals, broker networks, and advisory partnerships.
  • Tailored advisory role: Assist clients in navigating financial proposals and comprehending comprehensive service offerings.

The role places high relevance on client-centric lending (especially mortgages), as well as cross-selling opportunities across the Bank’s spectrum of products.

Key Responsibilities

Launch and grow a private banking client portfolio via:

  • Strategic service delivery with a premium touch
  • Expansive external networking efforts
  • Dedicated business development initiatives

Develop deep knowledge of:

  • Local economic pulses
  • Nearby professional networks
  • Referral-based growth channels (brokers, advisors, financiers)

Facilitate seamless cross-selling across:

  • Wealth management solutions
  • Savings opportunities
  • Mortgages

Clearly communicate:

  • Handelsbanken’s brand, values, and differentiators to stakeholders and customers.

Leverage financial acumen and risk management to:

  • Evaluate proposals
  • Structure transactions
  • Apply lending discretion in alignment with Bank policy and frameworks.

Drive customers towards a full suite of Handelsbanken solutions, collaborating alongside functional teams.

Ensure compliance by:

  • Adhering to Bank-wide Risk Management frameworks, risk, and compliance protocols
  • Escalating concerns to higher management where applicable.

What We’re Looking For
