Job Description Summary

JOB TITLE: Private Banking Relationship Manager

LOCATION: Jersey

SALARY: £53,073 to £58,970

HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Daily office/branch attendance is expected.

For this role, you need to have legal right to work and reside in Jersey. Please note that this is different to the right to work in the UK.


What you’ll be doing

We are the trusted local private banking partner in the Crown Dependencies, combining relationship-led banking with deep local insight and expertise. This is a great opportunity to join Crown Dependencies, the fastest growing business in Lloyds Banking Group (LBG).

It’s a phenomenal time to join our retail bank and make a real difference. Developing our proposition to proactively support our customers in the Crown Dependencies creates an exciting new opportunity within Jersey.

Being our business representative you'll have the opportunity to build long lasting and sustainable relationships within our local Relationship Managed customer base. You’ll discover opportunities to match customer needs against our products and support customers with our digital offering using customer feedback to understand and improve our customer’s experience.

As a Relationship Manager, you’ll develop our proposition to proactively support our valued Clients in the Crown Dependencies. Your role will involve:

  • Actively growing and overseeing a portfolio of customers, nurturing close working relationships, and delivering exemplary service that meets their complex banking and lending needs.
  • Discovering opportunities to match customer needs against our products and supporting customers with our digital offering.
  • Engaging with customers to ensure optimal satisfaction and provide superior customer service.
  • Enhancing value and profitability through increased relationship depth and reduced customer attrition.
  • Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with local external partners and professional introducers to identify new business opportunities and drive self-generated sustainable growth.
  • Collaborating with business partners and risk to support day-to-day management.
  • Challenging processes and finding new ways of working to create a more efficient, client-focused team.
  • Developing personal capabilities through formal and informal training opportunities, while also coaching others as required.

What we’re looking for

Key skills required for this role are Customer Focus, Builds Networks, Customer Service Delivery, Communicates Effectively, and Interpersonal Skills.

Our brand is trusted across the Crown Dependencies and this role, which offers an exceptional relationship management service will deepen that brand affinity. Therefore, you'll need to have the ability to quickly build relationships; to understand and meet your customer’s needs through our diverse range of services.

You would ideally have 3- 5 years of relevant relationship management experience. A growth mindset with a drive to increase your customer portfolio. You'll need to be hard-working and self-motivated with the desire to deliver outstanding customer service.

Collaboration with our partners across Commercial and International Private Bank is essential, meaning you must have strong relationship building skills and a desire to be part of the winning team. As we desire to expand our Brand externally, you must have the confidence to network externally.
