At Investec, we do things differently. We're a leading international bank and wealth manager built on a culture of curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit and human connection. Ideas are heard, ambition is celebrated, and impact is encouraged. As part of a team that challenges convention and strives for outperformance, you'll help shape bold solutions for clients who expect something more than the ordinary.

About the team

Investec Private Client delivers relationship-led banking and wealth solutions to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Our clients benefit from an integrated offering across banking, lending, foreign exchange, investments and wealth management, supported by specialists who understand the complexity of their financial lives.

As part of our Private Client FX team, you'll play a key role in helping clients navigate currency markets and liquidity needs, providing tailored foreign exchange and deposit solutions that support their personal, business and investment objectives. You will work closely with colleagues across Private Banking, Treasury Risk Solutions, Central Treasury and Global Markets, helping to create exceptional client experiences and drive commercial growth.

What will I be doing?

As a Private Client FX Dealer, you will be responsible for protecting and growing foreign exchange and cash deposit revenues within our Private Client portfolio while building trusted, long-term relationships with clients.

You will:

  • Develop strong relationships with high-net-worth clients and provide an exceptional, advice-led service.
  • Support clients with their spot and forward foreign exchange requirements, clearly explaining product features, pricing and associated risks.
  • Provide tailored FX and cash deposit solutions based on a thorough understanding of client needs.
  • Actively manage pricing, margin revenue, client retention and FX trading volumes.
  • Identify opportunities to increase wallet share across FX, deposits, lending and broader Investec capabilities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive client engagement, referrals and self-generated opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Private Banking, Treasury Risk Solutions, Global Markets and other specialist teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, client notes, pipeline activity and referral opportunities.
  • Leverage client insight, data and management information to prioritise activity and improve conversion.
  • Deliver against both commercial and client-focused performance objectives.
  • Share market insight and FX expertise with colleagues to support broader team capability.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in line with regulatory, conduct and risk requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
