Job Title: Private Client Lawyer
PQE Required: NQ+
Location: County Durham
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE
About the Role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Lawyer to join a well-established and progressive law firm. You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, advising a diverse client base on wills, estate planning, probate, estate administration, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, and deputyship matters. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will manage files from instruction through to completion while building long-term client relationships and contributing to the continued success and growth of the department. This role offers genuine responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to develop your career within a supportive environment.
The Role:
- Manage a varied caseload of private client matters.
- Advise on wills, estate planning, probate, estate administration, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, and deputyship matters.
- Work as part of a collaborative team.
- Manage files from instruction through to completion.
- Build long-term client relationships.
- Contribute to the success and growth of the department.

The Candidate:
- Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors and Legal Executives with experience handling a broad range of private client matters.
- Confident in managing your own caseload and committed to delivering exceptional client care.
- Experience advising on wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, and deputyship matters is essential.
- STEP qualification would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
- Proactive, organised, and keen to play an active role in business development and networking initiatives.
