PRIVATE CLIENT LEGAL SECRETARY, KENT 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE | UP TO GBP 27,000 JOB REF: 4316
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to three fee earners in a busy Private Client department, ensuring seamless daily operations while contributing to core legal processes.
Responsibilities

Administrative & Legal Support
- Transcribe legal documents (audio and copy typing).
- Prepare complex estate planning documents, including:
- Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Probate applications
- Estate accounts
- Inheritance Tax (IHT) forms
- Manage client diaries, Coordinate appointment schedules for fee earners.
- Assist with billing processes and ensure efficient file organisation.

Client & External Liaison
- Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and third parties.
- Handle client inquiries, onboard new clients, and perform Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks where required.
- Support probate and estate administration procedures.
- Maintain accurate, compliant filing systems and correspondence records.

Requirements
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Legal Secretary in a Private Client environment.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and typing skills (fast and highly accurate*) required.
- Preferred experience includes:
- Preparing estate accounts, drafting Wills, Codicils, and LPAs.
- Handling probate administration workflows.
- Compliance with tax and probate filing requirements.
