About the Team
Investec Private Client delivers relationship-led banking and wealth solutions to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, combining expertise across banking, lending, foreign exchange and broader financial services. As part of our continued investment in Private Client, we are building an integrated proposition that brings together banking, lending, investments and wealth management to create a truly differentiated client experience. Our Relationship Management team sits at the heart of this strategy, developing deep client relationships, identifying opportunities and connecting clients to the full breadth of Investec's capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, client-focused team where relationships, collaboration and commercial thinking are at the centre of everything we do.
What Will I Be Doing?
As a Private Client Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, delivering exceptional client outcomes while identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and drive sustainable growth. You will:
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with Private Client customers and become a key point of contact within Investec.
- Develop and execute client engagement plans designed to maximise meaningful interactions, client satisfaction and commercial opportunities.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience through proactive communication, tailored conversations and effective follow-through.
- Understand clients' evolving financial needs and deliver solutions across banking, lending and wider Investec services.
- Generate new opportunities through referrals, client introductions and proactive relationship management.
- Identify opportunities to increase wallet share and work with specialist teams across lending, foreign exchange, investments and wealth management.
- Build and actively manage a strong pipeline of opportunities across your client portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.
- Use client data, insights and management information to guide engagement strategies and improve outcomes.
- Maintain accurate client records, meeting notes, opportunities and pipeline activity within CRM systems.
- Deliver against growth, engagement and commercial performance objectives.
- Ensure all client interactions are aligned with Consumer Duty principles, regulatory requirements and the delivery of fair client outcomes.

What Do I Need to Bring?
- Strong experience in relationship management within private banking, wealth management, financial services or a client-facing banking environment.
- Proven ability to build and grow trusted client relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of identifying new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of banking and lending products and the ability to understand broader client financial needs.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, conduct and risk frameworks.
- Experience managing pipelines, client portfolios and sales activity.
- A proactive approach to client engagement and business development.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity and client focus.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes and service standards.
