Private Client Senior Manager - Leeds
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Private Client Senior Manager to join a growing and ambitious private client team. This is a leadership role focused on delivering high-quality tax and wealth advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and internationally mobile clients.
You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic and technically complex advice while leading client engagements, mentoring team members, and supporting business growth initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional who enjoys developing client relationships, solving complex technical challenges, and helping shape the future direction of a successful advisory practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee complex private client advisory projects from planning through to delivery.
- Manage and develop long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic advisor.
- Deliver specialist advice across a broad range of private client tax matters.
- Take an active role in the day-to-day management and operational success of the team.
- Support the leadership team in achieving departmental objectives and growth plans.
- Identify opportunities for new business and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain expertise in areas including:
- Residency and domicile matters
- Cross-border taxation
- UK and Offshore Trusts
- Inheritance Tax planning
- Succession and wealth transfer planning
- Review and sign off complex Self Assessment Tax Returns.
- Liaise with legal, financial, and other professional advisers to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Delegate work effectively, providing guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to team members.
- Conduct technical research and remain up to date with legislative and regulatory developments.
- Share knowledge across the wider business and contribute to the development of connected service lines.
- Provide practical, commercial recommendations that deliver value while appropriately managing risk.
- Maintain and strengthen a portfolio of key client relationships.

Essential Requirements
- Professional tax qualification such as ACA, CA, ATT, CTA, STEP, or equivalent.
- Significant experience in a Private Client Tax role at Manager or Senior Manager level.
- Strong advisory experience across private client taxation.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Proficiency with tax software and related compliance systems.
- Strong technical research capabilities, including the use of technical tax resources and legislation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development.

- Knowledge of UK taxation for internationally mobile individuals.
- Experience advising beneficiaries of offshore trusts.
- Expertise in cross-border tax planning and international wealth structuring.
