Private Client Solicitor
Company Description Lloyd Legal Experts is a specialist law firm focused on Family Law, Private Client, Litigation, and Advocacy, and is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA: 8015706). The firm is built on a commitment to compassionate, client-centered legal representation for families, individuals, private clients, and professionals. Lloyd Legal Experts was founded to provide clearer advice, straightforward communication, and genuinely caring support, rather than operating as just another traditional law firm. The team prioritizes empathy, clarity, and trust, guiding clients through challenging moments with advice they can understand and rely on. The culture emphasizes professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility toward every client. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Private Client Solicitor role based in Bolton. The Private Client Solicitor will manage a varied caseload, including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, tax planning, and lasting powers of attorney. Day-to-day responsibilities include taking detailed client instructions, providing clear, practical legal advice, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and ensuring accurate file management and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves regular client meetings, liaison with third parties such as financial advisers and accountants, and representation of clients’ interests with sensitivity and professionalism. The Solicitor will also contribute to business development activities, support firm-wide initiatives, and collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of service and client care. Qualifications Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with demonstrable experience in Private Client work (wills, probate, estate planning, and related matters). Strong technical knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and SRA requirements, with a commitment to ongoing professional development. Excellent client care skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in clear, accessible language and handle sensitive issues with empathy and discretion. Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate, compliant file records and documentation. Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Effective teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of matters where appropriate. Comfortable with using legal case management systems and standard office software; experience with digital workflows is an advantage. Experience in business development, networking, or building client relationships within the local community is beneficial. A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to upholding the firm’s values of integrity, clarity, and client-focused service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
