Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Private Client Solicitor to join their busy team in Portsmouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with at least 3 years’ PQE to develop their career within a supportive, professional, and client-focused environment. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private client matters and play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services to individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of private client matters.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships by delivering a high standard of client care.
  • Providing advice to clients on the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
  • Drafting wills tailored to clients' individual circumstances and handling probate applications.
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of inheritance tax documentation.
  • Liaising effectively with third parties.
  • Ensuring accurate file management and maintaining compliance with SRA/CILEX regulations and anti-money laundering requirements.

Desired Skills Required

  • A minimum of 3 years' PQE with experience dealing with Private Client matters.
  • Qualification as a Solicitor or CILEX Legal Executive.
  • Managing a full caseload with no supervision.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate, LPAs, Estate Administration, and Inheritance Tax matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What They Offer

  • Monday to Friday - 9:00am – 5:15pm this is office based.
  • Salary depending on experience - £50,000 - £60,000.
  • 25 days’ annual holiday plus bank holidays.
