Private Client Solicitor – Full-Time Role (Hybrid Working)

Location: Kingsbridge or hybrid (some working from home)

We are seeking a qualified Private Client Solicitor to join our esteemed practice. This exciting full-time opportunity will see you advising individuals on a range of estate planning, tax, and succession issues, with the flexibility to work part of the week from home.


About the Role

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will provide expert advice and support on a diverse caseload, including:

  • Drafting wills, trusts, and estate planning documentation
  • Handling probate and succession disputes
  • Advising clients on tax implications related to their wealth and assets
  • Conducting client meetings and liaising with financial advisors, tax specialists, and other professionals
  • Ensuring full compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
  • Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to business development

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload while ensuring high-quality legal advice
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents with precision and care
  • Conducting client consultations (in person or remotely)
  • Collaborating with financial and tax advisors to optimise client outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date file records
  • Supporting professional development within the firm
  • Training and mentoring junior team members

We are looking for a confident, detail-oriented legal professional with the following qualifications and experience:

Essential

  • Qualified solicitor status (or equivalent) with a strong foundation in private client law
  • Significant experience (minimum 2+ years) in private client work or relevant practice areas
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients
  • Strong client management and discretionary skills
  • Proficient with legal research tools and expertise in drafting legal documents
  • Organisational and time-management abilities to handle a busy workload
  • Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and regulatory compliance
