Private Client Solicitor / Partner – Cardiff – up to £180,000 + Benefits
A leading Legal 500 firm is seeking an ambitious Private Client Solicitor / Partner in Cardiff to play a pivotal role in establishing and growing its new office.
This is a rare opportunity to build a high-performing team from the ground up, offering the autonomy, backing, and infrastructure to shape a new regional presence within a highly regarded national platform.
This Private Client Solicitor / Partner role in Cardiff will suit a commercially astute lawyer with strong experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on complex estate planning, wealth structuring, and succession matters. You will take ownership of developing the practice, leveraging an existing network while building new relationships across the Cardiff and South Wales market.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a Private Client team in Cardiff
- Take over and further develop an established caseload and client relationships
- Advise on a broad range of private client matters, including:
- Wills
- Trusts
- Estate planning
- Probate
- Act for high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners
- Drive business development and strengthen the firm’s presence in the Cardiff / South Wales market
- Play a key role in office growth, including recruitment and team build-out
- Work closely with senior leadership on growth strategy and performance
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers and senior fee earners

- Senior Private Client Solicitor or Partner from a reputable firm
- Strong technical expertise across private client work
- Proven leadership experience or readiness to step into a leadership role
- Well-connected in the Cardiff / South Wales market with strong referrer relationships
- Commercially astute with excellent client relationship skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on growth and development

- Salary up to £180,000 (depending on experience)
