About the Role

A Private Client Tax Manager, you will lead the delivery of personal tax services, managing client portfolios and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations. You provide expert advice on complex tax planning, oversee teams, and develop strong client relationships. Your role ensures exceptional client service and contributes to the growth of the tax practice.


Key Accountabilities

  • Decision Making

    • Confidently takes decisions within agreed remits.
    • Addresses or escalates instances where colleagues fail to adopt core values or conduct respectfully.
    • Proactively suggests solutions to problems rather than waiting for direction.
    • Supports managers in delegated team management tasks (e.g., sickness reporting, holiday approvals).
  • Efficiency

    • Challenges and assesses client fee levels against job recovery trends.
    • Introduces alternative approaches to achieve higher efficiency without compromising client deliverables.
    • Champions new technologies aimed at improving quality and efficiency, leading their departmental implementation.

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant accountancy or tax qualification (e.g., ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA) or equivalent experience.

Essential Experience
