Private Client Tax Manager – Confidential Accountancy Firm
Cambridge | Hybrid Working | £60,000 – £75,000
A well-established and growing accountancy firm is looking to appoint a Private Client Tax Manager to join its team in Cambridge. This is a great opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of private clients while delivering high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory services within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
- You will take ownership of a portfolio of private clients, ensuring all compliance obligations are met while identifying and delivering advisory opportunities.
- Managing a portfolio of private clients, including HNWIs and complex cases
- Reviewing personal tax returns and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations
- Providing advice on a range of personal tax matters and planning opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients
- Reviewing WIP and supporting billing processes
- Contributing to business development, including proposals and client meetings
- Leading, mentoring, and reviewing junior team members
- Supporting workflow planning and ensuring deadlines are met

About You
- ATT / CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or qualified by experience
- Strong background in private client tax within practice
- Confident managing client relationships and complex technical queries
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to research and apply tax legislation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff
