Job Role: Private Credit Senior Operations Manager
Position Summary
We’re seeking a Private Credit Senior Operations Manager to join L&G Asset Management, overseeing end-to-end deal flow activities—from pipeline management to settlements—while designing governance frameworks and leading operational initiatives.
Your responsibilities will span:
- Deal lifecycle ownership: Tracking pipelines, executing trades, and ensuring accurate settlements
- Corporate governance: Implementing policies and procedures across the Private Credit business
- Cross-functional collaboration: Acting as a key interface between front office, outsourced providers, and Investment Operations
- Team leadership: Developing and mentoring junior associates while driving consistent performance

Key Responsibilities
Deal Flow & Operational Excellence
- Manage end-to-end Private Credit deal flow, including:
- Pipeline tracking
- Trade capture and execution
- Settlement processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy
- Design, implement, and enhance governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for scalability and high standards
- Oversee outsourced loan administrators and fund accountants, reviewing service delivery and monitoring KPIs to drive improvements
Transparency & Decision-Making
- Produce accurate, timely, and insightful management information for stakeholders to inform senior decision-making
- Identify control gaps and operational risks, analysing data to propose enhancements
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead a team of junior associates, ensuring clear direction, support, and high performance
- Interface between Private Credit front office, outsourced providers, and Investment Operations to ensure seamless data capture, validation, and processing
- Drive and support business/operational projects, collaborating with Business Analysts, Technology, and cross-functional teams
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (must be obtained)
- 2:1 Degree or equivalent academic background
- Proven experience in Private Credit, asset management, or similar investment environment
- Understanding of deal lifecycles and operational processes
- Knowledge of debt fund accounting, IFRS, and financial analysis
- Demonstrable expertise in:
- Supporting funds from first close to realisation (investment, monitoring, and eventual unwind)
- Advising/impacting fund managers in dynamic environments
- Leadership of teams and cross-functional alignment
- Communicative and influential: Ability to engage with Senior Management, Front Office, and external stakeholders to achieve objectives
