About The Shine Academy

The Shine Academy is a Fulham-based tutoring company working with students from Year 1 through to GCSE and beyond, with a particular focus on helping children reach London’s most competitive schools – and arrive there with confidence.

We were founded in 2019, with a simple belief: that every child deserves teaching that genuinely stretches them, in an environment that genuinely supports them.

We care deeply about the children we teach and the families who trust us with them. We understand the pressure of London’s most selective admissions, and we hold ourselves to a high standard at every step.

Our small-group programmes span 7+, 11+, 13+, GCSE, and A-Level, led by experienced tutors — many from prestigious academic and professional backgrounds, with an average of over 12 years’ teaching experience. We don’t simply teach to the exam. We build the confidence, resilience, and subject knowledge that stay with a child long after the results arrive.

More than 800 children have learned with us. Every one represents a family prepared to invest in their child’s future — and we feel privileged to be entrusted with that journey. It is a responsibility we hold closely, drawing on a proven methodology and deep expertise to do what we set out to do every day: building confident learners.

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate, skilled in-person English Tutor to join our team, specialising in preparation for 7+, 8+, 11+, and 13+ school entrance exams, as well as GCSE.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
