Private Equity M&A Analyst

Location: Remote (UK)

About the Opportunity

An ambitious, fast-scaling, and disruptive engineering and deep technology organisation are seeking a Private Equity M&A Analyst to join their group on a permanent, fully remote basis. The salary on offer will sit between £90,000 and £120,000 per annum depending upon experience, plus benefits.

The Role Overview

The role requires a sharp, deal-focused individual who has extensive experience of working within a PE house or corporate transactions team who wants a new challenge. This is a pivotal role to the organisation whose long-term strategy relies on the success of their initial acquisition plans over the next 2-3 years.

This is a high ownership role offering direct exposure to the founders and senior leadership team. You won't just be pushing numbers in the background, you will own workstreams end to end, from initially screening targets to leading due diligence, scenario modelling, and advising on acquisition and integration strategies.

What You’ll Do

  • Financial Modelling & Valuation: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models including LBO, valuation, returns, and consolidation models to drive critical buy and build decisions.
  • End-to-End M&A Execution: Help run live M&A processes, including target screening, direct outreach, managing information requests, data room management, and deal timelines.
  • Lead Due Diligence: Own due diligence workstreams, closely coordinating financial, commercial, legal, and operational diligence with external advisors and internal teams.
  • Investment Deal Materials: Analyse acquisition targets, size operational synergies, and prepare compelling investment committee papers, deal summaries, and value-creation plans for leadership.
  • Pipeline & Market Intelligence: Track sector activity and market trends to identify, prioritise, and originate new pipeline opportunities.
  • Post Deal Integration: Support post-acquisition integration plans and monitor the ongoing financial and operational performance across the acquired portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
