Role Summary

As a Private Equity Associate, you’ll support sponsors, management teams, portfolio companies, and financial institutions across a wide range of private equity and corporate transactions. Collaborating closely with partners and colleagues, you will take a leading role in transaction execution while assisting in building and strengthening client relationships.

The team advises on:

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on:
    • Private equity investments
    • Acquisitions
    • Disposals
    • Broader corporate transactions
  • Take a leading role in the day-to-day management and execution of:
    • Private equity transactions
    • M&A deals
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transaction documentation
  • Collaborate with specialist teams (Finance, Tax, Employment, Benefits, Regulatory) to ensure seamless client service
  • Guide clients through:
    • Buyouts
    • Leveraged transactions
    • Growth capital investments
    • Buy-and-build campaigns
    • Distressed situations
    • Exit strategies

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent qualification in a comparable jurisdiction)
  • Experience within a recognized private equity, corporate, or transactional legal practice
  • Proven expertise in advising on:
    • Private equity transactions
    • Buyouts
    • Mergers & acquisitions
  • Exposure to cross-border transactions and international deal execution
