The Opportunity
An emerging specialist technology private equity fund is seeking to appoint a Vice President or Director to its London-based investment team.
The firm focuses on acquiring and supporting established, high-quality technology businesses across Europe. It has completed a number of investments and is currently raising additional institutional capital to support the next phase of its growth.
This is a senior investment role with significant responsibility across deal origination, transaction execution, and portfolio development. The successful candidate will play a particularly important role in expanding the firm’s presence across the Nordic region.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and evaluate proprietary and intermediated technology investment opportunities across the Nordics and wider Europe.
- Develop long-term relationships with founders, management teams, advisers, investment banks, and other market participants.
- Lead or play a central role in the execution of new investments, from initial assessment through due diligence, investment committee approval, and completion.
- Assess business models, market positioning, competitive dynamics, growth opportunities, and potential value-creation initiatives.
- Build and review detailed financial models, investment returns analyses, and transaction structures.
- Coordinate commercial, financial, legal, technology, and operational due diligence workstreams.
- Prepare high-quality investment committee materials and present investment recommendations to senior decision-makers.
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to support strategic development, operational improvement, M&A, and international expansion.
- Represent the firm within the Nordic technology and private equity ecosystem.
- Support the development and mentoring of more junior investment professionals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
