Private Family Solicitor – 5+ Years' PQE
Our client is seeking a Private Family Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE to join its highly regarded Family team, handling a varied caseload of divorce, financial remedy and private children matters.
About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Manage a diverse caseload of privately funded family law matters, including:
- Divorce proceedings
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Pre-nuptial agreements
- Cohabitation disputes
- Private children matters

Deliver clear, practical legal advice and strong representation, ensuring exceptional client care and professional standards throughout every case.

Collaborate with colleagues across multiple East London offices to provide seamless client support.

Actively contribute to the growth and success of the Firm’s Family Law Department.
Personal Specifications
Legal & Technical Competencies
-
Qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in family law, underpinned by strong technical knowledge and sound judgement.

Proven experience in private family law matters, including:
- Divorce proceedings
- Financial remedy and divorce litigation
- Private children matters (including disengagement cases and complex parental disputes)

Solid expertise in family finance, including:
- Cohabitation disputes
- Trust disputes
- Family business interests

Resolution accreditation (mandatory); advanced Resolution or Law Society accreditations desirable.
Client Handling & Soft Skills
- Excellent client care skills with a proven ability to deliver clear, pragmatic, and empathetic guidance.
- Strong proactive case management skills, balancing autonomy with collaborative teamwork.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, particularly when advising privately paying clients.
