Private Funds Lawyer (London) – Legal Team Role
About the Role
An international financial services business specialising in private markets and wealth management seeks to hire a Private Funds Lawyer to join its London-based legal team.
The firm collaborates with leading investment managers and financial institutions, supporting the distribution and operation of alternative investment products across:
- Private equity
- Private credit
- Related strategies

Key Responsibilities
- Advise on the structuring and distribution of:
- Private funds
- Feeder vehicles
- Alternative investment products
- Support fund documentation, governance, and lifecycle events
- Assist with regulatory and cross-border distribution considerations for alternative investments
- Work cross-functionally with internal product, commercial, and operational teams on new initiatives
- Manage external counsel
- Contribute to developing scalable legal processes

Required Qualifications
- England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent in a common-law jurisdiction)
- 2–6 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Experience advising on private funds / alternatives, ideally gained at a:
- Leading law firm(s)
- In-house legal role
- Commercially minded, pragmatic mindset
- Comfortable working closely with non-legal stakeholders
- Interest in how private markets are evolving and how they’re becoming more widely accessible to investors
