Innovative Dairy Business | Private Label Strategy Manager


Summary Salary: £50k (3-day week, equivalent to c£82k full-time) Location: West London – Office based Contract: Part-time (3 days per week)

Our client is a fast-growing premium food business leaders in the chilled dairy and desserts sector. Their legacy combines European craftsmanship with a strong UK footprint, celebrated for their innovative private label and branded offerings across major grocery retailers.

About the Role

A newly created Private Label Strategy Manager position—a strategic hub shaping how to play and how to win for the c50% of UK operations driven by private label.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic delivery: Drive the long-term private label strategy in alignment with growth ambitions.
  • Opportunity spotting: Identify and prioritise future growth (category expansion, innovation) and turn data-driven insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Data-driven decisions: Collate and interpret complex internal/external data to answer critical business questions.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with commercial, category, and technical teams to refine action plans and ensure execution.
  • Portfolio performance: Set KPIs and performance pillars, tracking against long-term plans.
  • Innovation leadership: Contribute to direction-setting for innovation pipelines and roadmaps.

Who You Are

✔ A strategic business mind with FMCG expertise across commercial, category, insights, or strategy roles. ✔ Sharp analytical skills—proficient in tools like Nielsen, Kantar, or Circana. ✔ P&L savvy: Comfortable assessing impact on pricing, commercials, and retail performance. ✔ Influential thinker: Builds consensus, challenges convention, and thrives in high-stakes environments. ✔ Collaborative & agile: Bridges silos, prioritises effectively, and handles multiple stakeholders.
