Who are we?

Newmedica is one of the leading providers of NHS ophthalmology services in England, delivering outpatient appointments, diagnostic testing, and eye surgery to change lives through better sight and eye health.

We’re proud to have been certified as a Great Place to Work for the third year running and listed among the UK’s top 30 Best Workplaces™ for 2026 — recognition that reflects how colleagues feel about working here.

Our Purpose is to change lives through better sight and eye health, and our Vision is to end avoidable sight loss in every community we serve; we live our values every day — Commercial, Courageous, Compassion, Collaborative, and Curious.

Role overview

Are you a driven sales professional who thrives on converting enquiries into customers and delivering exceptional client experiences?

Newmedica is seeking an ambitious Private Patient Consultant to join our growing team. This is a consultative sales role where you will guide potential patients through a once-in-a-lifetime operation to ensure they know all the options that are available to them beyond the NHS.

We are not looking for a clinician.

We are looking for a natural relationship-builder, a confident closer, and someone who is motivated by targets, commission, and success.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week across 5 days.

The Opportunity

Your role will be to build trust, understand their needs, educate them about treatment options, and guide them through their journey from enquiry to booking.

You will become the key point of contact for your patients, creating an outstanding experience in every step of their pathway.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone from:

  • Luxury retail sales
  • Estate agency
  • Recruitment
  • Automotive sales
  • Financial services
  • Membership sales
  • Private healthcare sales
  • Travel sales
  • High-end hospitality
  • Telecommunications sales

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
