About the Team
The Private Sector Licensing and Enforcement team provides frontline support to improve housing conditions within the private rented sector, ensuring properties meet licensing standards. The role involves:
- Working closely with private tenants, homeowners, and landlords
- Inspecting, enforcing, educating, and advising to ensure decent housing conditions
- A dynamic, forward-thinking team with opportunities for professional development
About the Role
As a Private Sector Enforcement Officer/EHO, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing Environmental Health functions to fulfil statutory obligations relating to:
- Private Sector Housing Licensing
- Property inspections
- Regulation and enforcement
- Tenant education and advice
- Acting as an Authorised Officer to execute statutory functions, adhering to the current scheme of delegation.
