Position: PO1–PO4 Salary: £43,308–£54,360 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting) Contract: Full-Time Location: South London, Lambeth Borough

About the Team
The Private Sector Licensing and Enforcement Team delivers frontline services to raise housing standards within the private rented sector. Their work supports tenants, homeowners, and private landlords, ensuring private renters have decent housing and safe living conditions.
The team is innovative and forward-thinking, with ample opportunities for growth and development.

The Role: Private Sector Enforcement Officer / EHO
Reporting to the Head of Private Sector Licensing, you will carry out crucial Environmental Health duties, including:
- Inspections and Licensing: Monitor and inspect private sector housing in line with statutory obligations.
- Enforcement: Act decisively to ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
- Education & Advice: Provide guidance to private tenants, private landlords, and homeowners.
- Authorised Officer Responsibilities: As an Authorised Officer, ensure adherence to the current scheme of delegation for statutory functions.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong indentifying problems and delivering results under pressure
- Commitment to improving living standards for private sector domestic premises
