Salary: £46,870 - £50,011 (Grade F)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Sector Housing Manager to drive the implementation of the Renters Rights Act 2025 across a forward-thinking local authority.

About the Role

As the Private Sector Housing Manager, you will lead the response to one of the most significant changes in housing legislation, shaping how the Council protects tenants, influences policy, and improves housing standards.

You’ll:

  • Ensure full compliance with the Renters Rights Act 2025 while delivering a resident-focused approach.
  • Take ownership of both strategic direction and operational delivery of the new legislation.
  • Collaborate across Housing, Finance, Legal, and Communications for a seamless rollout.
  • Lead housing enforcement standards to ensure private-sector residential accommodation in the District meets statutory requirements.
  • Drive improvements in resident living conditions and management standards.

Location

This role is based at the Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 1HG, with a hybrid working model (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
