Private Shopping Assistant (Russian Speaking) – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Private Shopping Team as a Private Shopping Assistant (Russian Speaking) on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract. Our ambition is for Harrods Private Shopping to be the ultimate luxury shopping and lifestyle destination.
The Role
The Private Shopping Assistant supports our Private Client Managers (PCMs), delivering exceptional service to our most loyal clients. As part of the client-facing team, they play a critical role in:
- Supporting PCMs to deliver the highest level of service in every interaction.
- Building exceptional client relationships.
- Running a seamless service and anticipating client needs before they are expressed.
- Acting as a runner for size swaps and alternatives, or making arrangements in advance of client appointments.
- Creating "Suspended Transactions" for processing by Transaction Assistants.
- Investigating quotes for dispatch and delivery arrangements (local and international).
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting Private Client Managers during appointments.
- Arranging appointments including:
- Booking rooms.
- Coordination of services like alterations, restaurants, beauty appointments, or parking.
- Managing online client requests.
- Assisting with dispatch and delivery logistics.
- Surprising and delighting clients by understanding their personal preferences.
- Developing strong relationships and rapport with clients.
- Taking initiative, anticipating needs, and staying proactive.

About You (Requirements)
To succeed in this role, you should:
- Have retail experience and strong communication skills.
- Be resilient, adaptive, and able to handle pressure.
- Enjoy building and maintaining genuine client relationships.
Must-have skills/behaviours:
- Fluency in Russian (essential).
- Ability to deliver exceptional luxury service at all times.
- Engaging conversational skills when interacting with clients.
- Agility and initiative in problem-solving.
- Proactivity in anticipating client needs.
- Strong organisation and methodology for task delivery.
- Collaborative education and cultural awareness.
- Depth of knowledge in luxury goods (both at Harrods and beyond).
- Competency with dispatch and international delivery research.
