Your New Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax & Estate Planning Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded Private Client team.

You'll handle a diverse and high-quality caseload covering:

  • Estates
  • Trusts
  • Wills
  • Tax planning

The role offers significant scope to deepen your technical expertise and contribute to the department's strategic growth. Clients include:

  • High-net-worth individuals
  • Complex family structures

Key responsibilities include delivering specialist advice on:

  • Inheritance tax
  • Capital gains tax
  • Wealth preservation strategies
  • Trust creation & administration

Requirements

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have 4+ years’ experience in tax and estate planning (consideration for candidates with less experience if they demonstrate relevant exposure to complex private client and high-value tax matters).
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge, with an in-depth understanding of:
    • Wills and associated legislation
    • Lasting powers of attorney
  • Show expertise in trust law, including:
    • Drafting and advising experience
    • Inheritance tax planning and compliance
  • Bring a proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Be able to manage your own caseload and mentor junior colleagues.
  • Exhibit ambition and drive, with a desire to contribute to the department's development plan and uphold the team's reputation for private client and tax work.
