Job Summary
RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant - Contrast Coverage to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Radiology NP/PA, you will be responsible for screening and preparing patients for their procedure and administering and monitoring medications for patients in an outpatient setting. You will also perform arthrogram, biopsies, and other radiology procedures. Experience performing these procedures is required.
This position is per diem, working day shifts.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
(85%) Patient Care
- Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension
- Performs radiology procedures
- Screens patient prior to procedure for any precautions or contra-indications and for MRI safety
- Reviews patient history and complete appropriate consents forms as needed
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments (i.e. contrasts) in accordance with approved standards and regulations for care
- Utilizes competent IV start skills
- Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
- Participates in an efficient work flow to assist keeping CT/MRI on schedule
- Assures proper documentation in the EMR system

(10%) Administrative Duties
- Completes required administrative duties
- Maintains clean and stocked work environment
- Maintains stock in drug box
(5%) Performs related work as assigned

Requirements
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- NP license and certification, current and in good standing
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
- Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support)
