About Arden University
We are one of the UK’s largest providers of flexible higher education and one of the few specialist online universities to have been granted university status in the last half century. Arden has spent more than 30 years pioneering supported distance learning and today supports more than 30,000 students globally through a distinctive combination of online and blended learning.
At our heart, we exist to remove traditional barriers to higher education. By designing learning around students’ lives rather than expecting students to fit around conventional models of study, we have become a leader in flexible, career-focused education.
We are entering an exciting new phase of development with significant investment in technology and artificial intelligence. There has never been a more exciting time to join Arden University, as we expand into new disciplines, forge worldwide partnerships, and expand our locations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
