Job Overview

We're seeking a Proactive Detection and Insights Coordinator to join our Counter Fraud team at AXA UK. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in fraud prevention by reviewing flagged claims, supporting investigations, and working closely with Claims and Underwriting teams. This role would suit someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and interested in taking a stepping stone to developing their career in fraud detection and insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct reviews of cases to identify high-risk cases for investigation, gaining hands-on experience in fraud detection processes.
  • Perform targeted reviews of claims using fraud insights and emerging trends, developing your ability to recognize indicators of fraud and make informed decisions.
  • Provide feedback on the performance of fraud detection models and collaborate with stakeholders to help improve detection methods, enhancing your understanding of how these tools evolve.
  • Ensure data is accurately recorded in systems, following established processes and maintaining confidentiality, building your attention to detail and data management skills.
  • Work collaboratively across fraud teams to promote consistent processes, share insights, and support ongoing improvements in fraud detection, giving you the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues and grow your expertise in the field.

Work Arrangements

At AXA, we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients, or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

Your Skills & Experience

  • General insurance experience across either Motor, Property, Casualty, or Claims is preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience of the main types of fraud affecting insurance claims would be beneficial.
  • Fraud trend knowledge of common types within the insurance industry.
  • Good understanding of basic insurance principles, relevant case law, products, policies, and claims philosophy is preferred.
  • Inquisitive and logical approach to assessing risk and solving problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime, which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
