Summary

What To Expect

As a Proactive Team Investigation Specialist, you will join us on our journey and undertake an influential role by leading proactive, intelligence-led fraud investigations to identify, develop, and disrupt threats within the Post Office network.

The role converts problem profiles created by the Intelligence Team into structured enquiries, gathers and assesses evidence, and delivers outcomes ranging from disruption and risk mitigation to criminal referral, policy / system improvements and supporting operational performance outcomes. They will also assist with other investigative work as required in support of A&CI outputs.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need extensive experience conducting proactive or complex fraud investigations within corporate, financial services, public sector, or law enforcement: In addition you will possess:

  • PIP 2 equivalent complex investigative qualification and experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to convert intelligence leads to structured enquiries and delivers measurable outcomes.
  • Strong case management, decision logging, evidence handling, and disclosure awareness.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including concise briefings for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of investigative lifecycle, intelligence grading, evidential standards, and disclosure.
  • Practical knowledge of relevant UK legal and regulatory frameworks (as above), whistleblowing protections, employment/disciplinary processes (for insider cases), and sanctions compliance interfaces.
