Probate Solicitor

£40,000 - £65,000 dependant on experience (Work level 6A and Work level 5)

Full time, 37.5 hours or part time hours available

We're now working in a hybrid way, with colleagues dividing their time between home and any of our offices in Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, or Stratford upon Avon.

We're looking for solicitors/fee earners to join our specialist probate team within Co-op Legal Services at a variety of levels.

About Co-op Legal Services

At Co-op Legal Services we do things differently - we're future-focussed, we're committed to providing an exceptional client experience, and we're passionate about developing our colleagues.

In this role, you'll manage a varied caseload of probate cases from start to finish, with a client-focussed approach to targets. You won't need to bring a following of clients with you as we will source new work for you. You'll also be supported by our innovative legal technology - we've introduced AI enabled processes into our legal technology platform, and plan to have our estate administration processes fully AI enabled through 2025, so there's never been a more exciting time to join! We've also doubled our probate team within the past year, and as we continue to grow and innovate, they'll be plenty of opportunities to build a rewarding career with us.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
