About the Role

As Side continues to expand its Synthetic Voice Design services, we are looking for an innovative Procedural Voice Designer to help shape the next generation of interactive dialogue for games and digital entertainment.

Working within our Audio team, you will combine creative direction, technical expertise, and emerging AI technologies to produce high-quality voice performances using modern Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Speech-to-Speech (STS) platforms.

This is far more than simply generating AI voices. You'll work closely with Directors, Narrative Designers, Production, Localization and clients to transform scripts into believable performances through careful voice design, prompt engineering, voice direction, editing and quality control.

The successful candidate will help develop scalable synthetic voice production workflows while maintaining the creative standards Side is known for across the global games industry.

Key Responsibilities

Voice Design & Creative Direction

  • Design expressive AI-generated voice performances for games and interactive media.
  • Develop detailed voice briefs, character profiles, vocal direction and prompting strategies for AI voice generation.
  • Interpret scripts and narrative context to ensure performances align with each character's personality, emotion and delivery style.
  • Experiment with tone, pacing, narration techniques, emotional tags and prompt structures to maximise performance quality.
  • Collaborate with Audio Directors to refine performances through multiple iterations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
