About the Role
This position plays a strategic role in enhancing Commercial Capabilities processes within the DePuy Synthes (DPS) commercial organization. The successful candidate will:
- Lead process improvements to streamline and automate commercial workflows.
- Leverage data-driven insights (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to optimize pricing, contracting, and operations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align processes with organizational goals.
- Analyze contract data and trends to support informed decision-making.
- Extend operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Lead initiatives to automate and streamline Commercial Capabilities processes, reducing manual efforts and improving operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify pain points in current workflows and propose strategic solutions.
- Analyze data and trends to provide insights supporting pricing, contracting, and business continuity.
- Develop, maintain, and document process-focused methodologies with clarity and consistency.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness.
- Conduct regular policy reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide training on Commercial Capabilities processes as needed.
- Support cross-functional projects with data-driven analysis aligned to organizational objectives.
- Report business-related issues/opportunities to management.

Employee Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulations, and ethical standards, including governing laws.
Who You Are (Required Qualifications)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (no preferred field, though a business-related degree is advantageous).
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5–7 years in either:
- Contracting/operations analysis.
- Process improvement (e.g., Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma).
- Preference for healthcare or life sciences industry experience.
- Analytical skills with a proven ability to use data for strategy and process improvement.
- Experience with process automation tools and improvement methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities in complex or ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders.
- Proven project management expertise and stakeholder collaboration.
- Operational risk awareness, with a budgetary mindset.
Certifications (A Plus)
- Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Travel
- 10% domestic/international travel required.

Important Notice: Post-Separation Employment
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate its Orthopaedics business, intended to become a standalone entity called DePuy Synthes.
