Summary

Join our team at Humberstone Road and play a key role in maintaining food safety and quality standards across our production line.

The Role

Reporting to the Line Leader, you will be responsible for managing the line in their absence and ensuring all products are produced to customer specification and quality standards. You will play a key part in delivering production plans and maintaining food safety compliance.

2x8, 05:00-13:00 / 13:00-21:00

£14.66 per hour

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the production line in the absence of the Line Leader.
  • Carry out consistent quality checks, coaching colleagues to achieve first-time conformance.
  • Ensure the production area adheres to food safety and quality standards, reporting non-conformances promptly.
  • Confirm availability of correct ingredients, labels and packaging prior to production.
  • Record data accurately and maintain up to date management information.
  • Oversee machinery hygiene checks in line with company protocols, reporting defects to the Hygiene Department and Line Manager.
  • Set up machinery correctly for efficient line operation.
  • Support audit preparation and drive year-on-year improvement in outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3 or more years of food production experience with a strong eye for detail.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
  • HACCP knowledge.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Customer aware with a proactive, quality-focused approach.
