Purpose of the Role
Provide process engineering support across Edrington’s UK engineering department and Global Supply Chain (GSC). Core responsibilities include:

- FEED (Front-End Engineering & Design), process safety, and data analysis
- Cross-team collaboration on feasibility studies, design reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL), and compliance assessments
- Coverage across all UK sites: malting, distillation, blending, and bottling
- Drive best practice alignment with legal and internal standards
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead/support process engineering from feasibility studies → detailed engineering → implementation
- Manage 3D plant modelling and process documentation (P&IDs and PFDs) with full accuracy
Analysis & Problem-Solving
- Perform mass/energy balances and equipment sizing
- Evaluate operational performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise systems (alarm management, KPIs)
Compliance & Safety
- Uphold rigorously COMAH assessments, hazardous area classifications (ATEX zoning), and safety standards
- Track UK regulatory updates for continuous compliance
Collaboration
- Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-site teams with clear technical recommendations
Your Talent & Skills
Minimum Requirements
- Accredited degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Industry experience in process design, engineering, and project management
- Membership/recognition by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (or equivalent)
- P&ID/engineering drawing experience (CAD proficient, e.g., AutoCAD)
- HAZOP methodology expertise with proactiveness to lead reviews in future

Technical Competencies
- Fluency in MS Office Suite + Power BI for data analysis
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Technical exposure to safety-critical analyses (e.g., SIL)

- Attention to detail + travel readiness across UK sites as needed
- Passionate about innovation and demonstrable impact in engineering projects
