BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.

We’re looking for a Technical Queries Process Lead to support the Request for Information (RFI) and Field Change Request (FCR) processes documented in project. The role is to manage the effective and efficient implementation of the RFI & FCR processes, improve the processes and ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the processes into the new toolset (CALM).

The Role

  • Fully understand the defined and practiced RFI & FCR processes, FCR KPIs & FCR Metrics
  • Define and agree RFI KPIs & Metrics
  • Implement RFI metrics reporting and communication
  • Establish a RFI stakeholder group and chair regular accountability meetings explaining the metrics, progress against KPIs and maintaining an action log to improve performance
  • Chair the FCR weekly stakeholder’s accountability meetings explaining the metrics, progress against KPIs and maintaining an action log to improve performance
  • Provide a monthly status report (progress against KPIs) for RFIs & FCRs which is presented at the Technical Directorate senior management meeting
  • Achieve RFI KPIs
  • Achieve FCR KPIs
  • Develop the high level FCR proposed process into a detailed process and gain agreement from business stakeholders
  • Review the RFI process and produce an improved high level process with business stakeholders

  • Update the RFI & FCR procedure, forms, register and metrics to align with the improved processes
  • Produce an implementation plan for the RFI & FCR improvements
  • Gain IMS agreement to the procedure and forms update and implementation plan
  • Implement the implementation plan within the business
  • Monitor and measure the business performance improvement as a result of the process improvement
  • Provide the RFI & FCR process definition to the CALM team to tool up the processes
  • Produce and provide a set of RFI & FCR requirements for the tool to achieve and gain agreement from the process owner
  • Work with the CALM team and business stakeholders to ensure that the processes and requirements are achieved in the tool
  • Along with the business stakeholders, test the tool when complete against the processes and requirements
  • Provide evidence to the process owner that the process and requirements have been achieved and the processes in the tool can be deployed to the business
  • Work with the CALM team to ensure the KPI’s and metrics can be reported upon with little human effort (press of a button)
  • Work with the CALM team to deploy the tool within the business ensuring new starters and leavers are processed
  • Review the effectiveness of the CALM deployment and make adjustments where required
  • Produce a lessons learnt report detailing what went well and what didn’t go so well with recommendations for improvement for further process
