Process Engineer | Bradford | £35,000 - £45,000 | Days Based
W Talent is delighted to be partnering with a leading global manufacturer to recruit a Process Engineer for its UK operation based in Shipley, Bradford.
Our client is a world-class engineering and manufacturing business supplying to customers across a range of industrial sectors, with a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. The organisation continues to invest in its people, processes, and manufacturing capabilities to support growth.
This is an excellent Process Engineer opportunity to join a highly respected engineering team and play a key role in supporting:
- New product introductions
- Process improvements
- Capital investment projects
- Operational excellence initiatives
The Position: Process Engineer
As a Process Engineer, you will take responsibility for a designated manufacturing area at Shipley, supporting both existing production processes and new business activities.
The role will involve:
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Managing engineering projects
- Introducing new equipment
- Supporting the successful launch of new products
Working closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Design teams, you will help drive manufacturing performance, productivity, and quality improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes, equipment, and work methods.
- Define specifications and requirements for new manufacturing equipment and oversee successful implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and PDCA methodologies.
- Improve production capacity and efficiency, striving for first-time pass rates.
- Improve cycle times and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to reduce scrap and rework levels.
- Manage engineering and process changes in accordance with established procedures.
- Support production teams with technical problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Lead capital expenditure and process improvement projects from concept through to implementation.
- Participate in design reviews, supporting Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) principles.
- Work with external suppliers to develop and procure manufacturing equipment.
- Create and maintain process documentation (e.g. PFMEAs, Control Plans, Work Instructions).
- Ensure compliance with quality management and manufacturing standards.

Candidate Requirements
- Must be within a 1-hour commutable distance of Shipley, Bradford
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering position
- Background experience within plastics, manufacturing, or FMCG environments
- Practical experience of: APQP, PFMEA or Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of manufacturing cell design and process layout
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, and material flow systems
- Experience with supporting and managing NPI projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
