Relocation package available
Yolk Recruitment is supporting a well-established UK manufacturer of technical fabrics to recruit experienced Textile Process Experts to support the continued growth of the business, working to improve product quality and yield, strengthen process control and support the successful introduction of new products and technologies.
This is one of the South West's largest privately owned manufacturing businesses and supplies specialist materials into a number of critical and high growth markets. They've delivered consistent, profitable growth over many years and is now investing heavily in new machinery, improved manufacturing processes and expanded research and development capability. With a strong order book and plans to almost double turnover over the coming years, these appointments form an important part of the company's next stage of development.
These roles are suited to people with deep, practical knowledge of textile manufacturing. General process engineering experience alone will not be enough. You'll need industry experience and will have knowledge in either slitting, drying, binding, blending or carding manufacturing processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
