Trim and Final Manufacturing Engineer – Engineering Manager (Team Lead)
Role and Responsibilities
Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers within the Trim and Final department, providing:
- Strategic guidance, technical mentorship, and continuous support.
- Departmental strategy development for power tooling, orchestrating collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Drive optimisations in Trim and Final operations by:
- Implementing efficient manufacturing processes, balancing quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules.
- Ensuring proficiency in PFC (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plans, Check Sheets, and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) preparations.
- Leveraging expertise in EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials) and MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials) for process alignment.
Foster collaboration across design, production, and quality teams to:
- Enhance product design manufacturability.
- Resolve critical manufacturing challenges.
Support process and product innovation:
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and capacity planning for:
- New Product Introductions (NPIs).
- Continuous process improvements.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies for compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Develop and implement cost-effective Poka Yoke (error-proofing) methods.
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience
Seeking a seasoned candidate with:
- 8–10 years of automotive industry experience, specialising in trim and final operations engineering.
- Proven leadership skills for:
- Team management and motivation.
- Mentorship and performance coaching.
- In-depth expertise in:
- Manufacturing processes.
- Quality standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949).
- Lean manufacturing principles.

- Proficiency in Autocad, Catia, or Pro/E (SolidWorks).
- Problem-solving mentality with experience addressing complex engineering challenges.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
